June 4th Engine 1 Training, At The Edge Of The Musselshell River |

Saturday afternoon finds several LVFD members training with Engine 1 at the the Musselshell River. The rated capacity of the pump was reached - 1250GPM. That's quite a bit of water. This truck is now in service providing structure protection for the Town of Lavina as well as outlying areas. |

Garret Jones mans the 750GPM deck monitor as the department gets up to speed with Engine 1's capabilities. |

James is dealing with the reaction force of 200GPM at 100PSI while future firefighters watch in the background. |

Garret deploys the department's new 6" Float-Dock Strainer. This unit enables Engine 1 to draft all the water it can handle from the river, while the strainer floats near the surface, rather than settling to the river bottom. |
